Matt Sachse is a Principal in the Semiconductor and Systems Practice at Pagemill Partners. Matt joined Pagemill in November 2007 and brings more than six years of transaction experience to the firm, including completed transactions representing over $1B in aggregate value.  His execution experience spans multiple industry segments including semiconductors, photovoltaics/solar, capital equipment and telecommunications. 

 

Matt has closed transactions with companies such as Applied Materials, Broadcom, Cavium Networks, CSR, Cypress Semiconductor, E-TON Solar Tech, Flextronics, International Rectifier, Marvell Technology Group, and Micronas, among others.  In addition, he has successfully structured and consummated complex, cross border transactions in geographical regions worldwide, including Asia, Canada, Europe and Israel.

 

Prior to Pagemill, Matt was a Vice President in the Hardware Group at SVB Alliant, where he provided a variety of advisory services (sell-side, buy-side, divestiture, private capital, strategic positioning and recapitalization) to hardware clients worldwide.  He was also responsible for managing the firm’s hardware activities in consumer and wireless markets.

 

Previously, Matt worked in the technology investment banking practice of SoundView Technology Group, where he was responsible for the execution of public and private equity transactions for leading semiconductor, electronic systems and software companies.

 

Matt holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Stanford University and Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.  While completing his degree at Stanford, Matt played professional baseball in the Seattle Mariners organization for seven years.
